According to Yuval Noah Harari, the 21st century will see the creation of “a new massive class of… USELESS PEOPLE.” While Harari maybe overly pessimistic, we should seriously consider what to do with some of the increasingly USELESS INSTITUTIONS which we have inherited from previous centuries. A case in point is national education systems with their emphasis on standardization, official certification and obsolete forms of learning.
